clutch for a 05 636.
I have 40,000km on the bike and it has to get a new clutch.
What are the option out there for me and in your experience which one would be the best??? I think it's only the plates but i dunno
thanks stuart

Get some verniers onto the plates to check thickness and measure the spring lengths.stuartzx6 wrote:i dunno it is just slipping alot. always out or 2nd at about 8,000
If all is within tolerance, try scuffing up the metal plates as they may have glazed over.
If the plates are OK try some heavier springs like Barnett or Goodridge...
What oil are you running.?

like wat MadKw said...
I remember in my 250cc i ran full synthetic oil and it used to slip for the first few hundred km's then it would bite nicely. Have u tried using a different oil, otherwise try wat madkaw said and pull all the clutch apart and check it out!

If it is shagged (my old 9's was worn out when I got it, previous owner was a shit rider) surf the net for a US supplier of Barnett gear. Unfortunately it was HEAPS cheaper than local suppliers.

Change the clutch and springs witch is going like a dream however still sliping out of 2nd. Next Job I am going to pull the whole engine out and pull out the gearbox over the next few week and have a look at it. I have been informed it might be one a the SYNCROS in the gearbox. so we will see.
