Gone to the dark side...

Post by RG »

Sorry all, I've gone to the dark side.
I've been talking about it for a year and finally took action, work has kept me busy for most of this year (which explains why I disappeared).

Just put down deposit for a 2006 SV650S (red), private seller.

Couldn't go past it,
 The seat height is good(those who knows me will know that I struggle with seat height on bigger bikes).
 Simply love the sound of V-twin (with Pipemaster pipe)... love4.gif
 Havn't got a chance to test the power but I know it'll definately be more than enough for me, I ride like a fairy.

I had the ZZR250 for 3 years and I think it's time to step up but I'm not ready for a 1000cc. The SV650S is the most practical bike for me among the other candidates so I thought 'why not?'.
I still have the ZZR250, cost me nothing to run, only rego. Not going to get much selling it anyway.

I will still be hanging around here if I'm still welcome.

The SV650 and 650S are fantastic bikes. Congratulations!!! They are light..ish, powerful..ish, reliable, easy to maintain and plenty comfy! They make a really smart and sensible step up from a 2fiddie for sure! I reckon you will have an absolute ball on it!! I know heaps of other girls who have them too and they are wrapped with theirs!!!! 8)

I have heard of kawasaki disease but this new suzuki disease is catching on fast

Good onya RG, it is a good step up and not wanting a litre bike now is smart too 8)
You really need to ride that 250 for at least another 4 years before you should even consider it and grow another 30cm's :P

Where is the photo's or didn't it happen :D

Thanks guys (and gals). I can so feel the love... :P

It wasn't an act of impulse, I had given it much thought, spoke to people and considered my options. I do not regret the move.
If Kawasaki produce a 600cc V-twin (with low-ish seat height) I will definately consider.
Hmm...I wonder if I can paste a 'K' over the 'S' on the fuel tank... ok I'm kidding.

No pics yet, I'll only be picking the bike up in 2 weeks time(coz I'm not in Brizzy for 2 weeks).

Not in a hurry to get rid of the ZZR, it'll be a spare bike for me and Shifty.

ozx6r: I won't be at the X'mas party, gotta work that weekend.

Good bikes those SV's.... sound horn with an after market pipe.... Rode one once, an older one..... lots of poke down low, but not a lot up top..... guess that is the V-Twin way
