Farken hell the amount of bits and pieces you need to get rid off, just to get to the shims ... spent nearly the whole day. Maybe a Guzzi or BMW would be my next bike
Honestly do people actually do this every 12000k's as the manual says ??
I'm really tempted to widen the clearance a bit so I only need to do this shit let's say... every 100,000kms ?

If it's anything like the 9's yeah its time consuming but it gets easier with practice. the one thing that pisses me off is the design of the ram air intakes passing through the frame. To remove them you have to remove the upper fairing, or else you cant remove the rocker cover - which is another fiddly saga in itself!
I got a sweater for my birthday. I realy wanted a moaner or a screamer.
Come on Andi, I've got mine down to a 3 or 4 hour job now. Just make sure you put the reed valves back in the right way and be sure not to snap cam cover bolts with shitty torque wrenches
