ZX10R Gen 2 Tyres ?

Post by SoundGuy »

I'm interested to find out what tyres all the owners of Gen 2 ZX10's are running.

I went from the original dunlops to the BT002's keeping the 190/55 profile of the originals

So whats your favorite? are you keeping to the 190/55's ?

I have Continental Race Attacks atm, couldn't get a 190/55 at the time i bought so 190/50 it is for now.
Not many places have 190/55 tyres...

Still haven't killed the standard dunflops, will probably opt for the M3s next.

190/50's wont make a noticable difference from 190/55s.

if it does, jack the rear up with a spacer, and instant 55 profile again.

I think Mick C runs M3's on his Crim, ask him!

I've read that the 55's give a better/bigger contact patch

let about 1/2 a pound out of the rear tyre, and you'll get that difference in contact patch back. 8)

i've got the metzler M3's but i find it hard to really get the rear working. The front tyre is great but not the happiest with the rear, should have a long life though and i went back to the 50 series.

Continental make 190/55/17's in the Race Attack range. They retail for $329.00 less 5% with free 90degree valve stems thrown in.
