Aldi Bike Gear

Post by QuickaKwacka »

Aldi have a full range of cheap bike gear comming up as of next thursday 13th September, 2007. Tank Bags, Waterproof suits, Boots, Sox etc etc. Last time it came on nearly got trampled by a shop full of older cyclists looking for something cheap

swoit, rainsuit time!!!!! might look at the pants too. but the gloves and boots i got last time are seriously kickarse, just got to be careful not to pull the triple layering out, did that once, took 20 minutes to get it back in.

I'll be joining the lineup gloves and maybe another tankbag I got one last year, keep one for a spare.

I can say the Tank bag is great, just with all the bag layers the thing is so bloody high.

I got a set of the winter/waterproof pants last time they were on sale, they are bloody fantastic. Warm as toast in -5deg mornings here, and with the thermal liner out, they work great as well. The zip didn't last too long, but it has a velcro 'overfly' anyway, so that works just fine.......I would highly recommend these duds to anyone considering a purchase....

Even the understated reflective piping gets the DountMan tick of approval !!

Mate of mine bought the boots and he reckos they're excellent, personally have Medal boots and they do me fine, don't need 2 pairs of boots, another lot of wets would be handy though :D

+1 for the boots being awesome. Just a handy hint, wear thick socks when trying them out and get a pair of them that are rather snug with thick socks. that way you can wear thin socks in summer and it allows your feet to breathe.

Ive had mine since they had the sale last year, tread on the soles has barely worn at all, and aside from bedding in, its stitching and flex are 99% of how it was when i got them last year.

I'd be tempted to buy another pair of boots AND gloves as well just to use when these wear out.
