Any storage compartments on a ZXR750J?

Post by Bogan »

I'm picking up a bike from QLD and riding it home to Canberra, I'm not expecting much but is there anywhere under the seat or in the fairing where I can store anything? I'll have to take a backpack and/or some occy straps won't I...

Anyone got any good pictures of their ZXR750 and what is under the seat? The last bike I had was an early model GSXR with a one piece seat.

Cheers,

Tony

Socks, jox and t-shirts I'm thinking. Don't want to end up too smelly, leaving Brissy Wednesday morning and have to be back in Canberra to go to work Monday, no need to rush if I can find cheap places to sleep.

Are tank bags one size fits many or do I have to get a ZXR one?

*off I go to Google*

Tony, I've got a tank bag you can *probably* borrow (as long as I'm not away at the same time you are!!) :D

When do you fly out/return?

Hello.

I have a J model ZXR750 and to be honest, you won't fit anything besides maybe a pair of gloves in there if you are lucky. There's not much room at all. Will add a pic for you later. I'd be going for the tank bag option. I use a small one on mine, and it doesn't seem to get in the way too much.

Good luck for your trip,
Chris.

I use a cheap magnetic tank bag for my 93 ZXR. It is expandable and I use it for every ride. When it is fully zipped out it does get in the way a bit but it carries shit loads. when it is fully opened it gives you somewhere to rest your chest or chin on.
It is a Motodry brand and was around $80 from memory.
One of the best things I have bought.
Have fun on the old ZXR. I love mine.
Remember, half the people you know are below average.

Here are a couple of pics of the (lack of) storage space. :)

I second ZXR750's comments. I love my ZXR, and wish you good times and much fun on your trip.
