Wouldn't any one please be able to point out where the idle screw cable is meant to be attached.
Also, would the bike be still safe to ride with out it in. thx

On the GPX250, the idle knob is on the LHS of the bike near the fuel tap. Here is a link for the GPX250:http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/What_is_the_engine_idle_speed%3F_How_do_I_adjust_it%3F
If you have the knob completely off, doesn't it make the bike idle at an insanely high rev? (or is it the opposite, and the bike has trouble idling at all)
P.S. I am assuming you mean idle know when you say "idle screw". Please ignore if I am completely off.

Re: idle screw problem
i also managed to unscrew my idle cable by accident yesterday as well.
ive taken all my fairings off and cant locate the screw. would it be more on the right or left?
under or between the carbs?
do i need to take the tank off?
the gpx seems to differ from the zzr
any help is greatly appreciated.
