Regulator/rectifier Question

Hi all,
just wondering if anyone knew if a regulator rectifier from a 99zx6r will work on a 91zx2r. Dont know if anyone is into electrics on this board or not? hoping someone might have an idea. I do know that kawasaki run the same regulator/rectifier on the zzr250, zx6r, zx10 and zx12, well thats what a mate told me anyway.

get the part number and call ur kwaka dealer... unless ne1 here has a micro fiche thingo... or the kwak site maybe??

You will need to find out the alternator output from both bikes - If they are the same (or very close), and the wiring loom plugs are the same, and the battery charging capacity (amps) is the same (or very close), then you might be in luck.

Regulator/rectifier's all do *basically* exactly the same thing - the important but is the output of the alternator, and the battery amps. Wiring loom plugs can be changed pretty easily.

yea..so call kwaka and get part numbers and see if that helps...
