Z1000 gearing
To all the Z1000 owners out there, what gearing have you played with and how'd you do it?
The standard is obviously 42/16. Today I tried to get a 44 rear but they only go to 43 which won't make bugger all difference, so then I inquired about a 15 for the front but have been told they're not a genuine part and don't come with the rubber dampner like the 16. In turn they my need a spacer made up.
What's the go?
Have I just been talking to Wally's or what.

I bought a Renthal 15 tooth front.
Makes a noticeable difference but not by a crazy amount.
Mine doesn't have the rubber damper and I have been told it makes no difference.
It now lifts the front in 2nd under power!
Just buy it, you won't regret it.
Daz.

No I didn't. It's a direct replacement.Ticketyman wrote:Cheers for the info, did you have to put a spacer in?
I did have to use a MASSIVE FCUKN RATTLE GUN to remove the nut!

G'day, Im new here, this is my first post, so please forgive me if I aint doin it right.
I Have an 03 Z1000. I just recently changed to 15/44 Vortex sprockets....WOW its awsome!!!
I have a brand new 44 Vortex rear that I would be willing to part with for the right price. I got it sent from the USA but it wasnt the one I wanted, it is clear anodised aluminium, I wanted black.
