ZX14 Pursuit Bikes..
Dont know how true the rumour is but i have heard that Vic Police have bought 6 new ZX14's that they will leave unmarked, and set up as high speed pursuit bikes, and i would assume patrol the normal spots. So if ya see a ZX14 up ya clacker, or sitting on the side of the road, who knows who it might be..

OK... having, on the way to the 2005 GP, been part of a ten-bike convoy being led by an unmarked VicPol Blackbird with panniers and a discrete "POLICE" across the top of the rego plate where the state abbreviation would normally be, I'll buy that Vic coppers would be putting a brace of 14's on for undercover duties, but I have to laugh out hysterically and call whoever thought they'd introduce the bit about the nitrous kits into the story a cockspank.Blue14 wrote:I did leave something out sorry.. Was also mentioned will also have a small bottle attached as well..
How hot will the coals the cops get raked over be if a member of the general pube-lick ends up dead as a result of a chase in which the fleeing offender and the pursuing police *both* nudged 300kph?
...and that's beside the arseache and the cost of getting a nitrous kit installed with its extra injectors and ECU's, plus the implications that will have for warranty.
Cops want bikes that will run for 100,000km and come out of it running like new.
and on top of all that isnt it illegal to have your NOS system connected for street use....? jase may be able to fill us in.I-K wrote:OK... having, on the way to the 2005 GP, been part of a ten-bike convoy being led by an unmarked VicPol Blackbird with panniers and a discrete "POLICE" across the top of the rego plate where the state abbreviation would normally be, I'll buy that Vic coppers would be putting a brace of 14's on for undercover duties, but I have to laugh out hysterically and call whoever thought they'd introduce the bit about the nitrous kits into the story a cockspank.Blue14 wrote:I did leave something out sorry.. The small bottle is for when they crack open the throtle on the Big K and find a different response than they were used to on the fat arses Beemers .
Its a catch bottle for when 1. they wet their pants or 2. piss themselves laughing at the rate they close in on non law abiding citizens
