Will be in the next Australian dictionary, and the winner is Marcus Enfield. For those living under a rock, this guy got caught by a camera and fined $77 for speeding.

Signed a stat dec to declare he wasn't the person driving, alas for him, the person that was driving had deceased some 3 years ago which made it bloody dofficult for her to be driving his car too.

Now faces perjury charges and potentially 14 years in the slammer. Come on down Mr Enfield and accept your prize, fuckwit of the year 2007.

And yes it is very early in the year but i'm quietly confident this feat will remain unsurpassed in the analls of 2007.

Yes a very worthy candidate but reading the story of Ben Cousins in the entry before this post I think he gives the honourable Mr Enfield a run for his money. Maybe they could share the award. It shouldn't be to difficult as it seems they are sharing a brain.

What happened to that QC or beak type person from Adelaide who run down a cyclist and killed him and got off with a suspended sentence? I think the DPP appealed but he wormed his way out of suitable punishment

ben Cousins wasn't the smartest but given the fact you're allowed a shitload of spare time, you're paid an absolute shitload of money and there would be PLENBTY of opportunities as an AFL footballer or indeed any elite sportsmen to obtain coacaine et al am surprised it hasn't come up plenty earielr honestly.

Don't forget that he's facing a custodial sentence as well which he won't get probbaly but he's living under the shadow of meeting up with people he may have put away as a judge which can't be much fun.

However there is a silver lining to this particular cloud in that he did it,not for the $77, but for the points he would have lost under this marxist RTA system which I think is actually unconstitutional in that it breaches the rule of double jeopardy (I think) so given his prominence it may get the ball rolling to defeat the legislation as it stands.

Dunno about your rules but in NSW you lose 1/4 of your licence for three years for being ten k's over.
