Post by KLR »

Grabbed this of Kawiforums, me likem!! looks better I think than the underseat.

It also seems some Canadians on the forum are getting their 05's in about two weeks!! whereas we will probably have to wait til next March. Go Figure....

Nice find jibbers so are you tyrekicking in Canada now or what aye ?.
Think the Undertails are generally purky looking. Hope its just a fad like anti dive forks were. Werent they a waste of advertising space.

Wow, thats much more sexy. I wish they would polish the freakin exhaust like the 03/04 models though, that matte look really doesn't grab me. I hate the undertail but it's not like Im gonna run out and grab an 05 anytime soon!

Sweet bike... The red one down at the GC show didn't instantly grab me but in any other colour, i'd defiately jump on...

I'm also over the underseat thing... It's sooo 2001...

I was never a fan of the underseat exhaust, but, having seen the pics of the new ZX6 with them, the picture above simply looks dated now...

I'm a fan of the underseat exhauxst, seems to me to be a neater package. Is it hard finding an aftermarket can for an underseat exhaust?

Getting easier to find underseat Aftermarkets as more models go that way, but cost more coin then A side pipe. They can also warm your Bum on certain models I've heard.

Local Kwaka dealers are telling me that the ZX6 will defnitely have underseat exhaust for 2005 ... now I'm really confused
Perhaps someone has photoshop'd the ZX10R pipe on a ZX6 just to stir up some conversation.

Fear not, the above is either Paint Shopped or as stated when I found it, it is the 'rr' version with the 599cc engine so it can compete at supersport level.

However I dont understand why no underseat exhaust on the RR??

Its the ZX6RR. Completely different bike. ZX6R = 636cc and ZX6RR= 599cc. I think though if they only had a side exhaust on the 6RR that is kinda retarded considering it is the bike used for racing and underseat exhausts would be more aerodynamic. The official kwaka site shows the 6RR with an underseat so I say it's a photochop
