My chain snapped this morning as I was riding to school
I need a new chain and front and rear sprockets, how much incl. labour do you think that will cost?

You're lucky it didn't have you off! How fast were you going at the time?
Do you know why it snapped (eg too loose/rusty/worn) or was the power of the mighty ZZR lump too much for it?

Holy crap!
My chain is REALLY old and lose atm, despite adjusting tension, the rings are very worn out and bounce all the time. Local (expensive) bikeshop said $100 for chain, $60 to fit. $313 for sprockets and chain, fitted. Cheapest I quoted was $280.

Thank god I'm not paying someone to work on my bike. I must have saved thousands in labour.
$100 for x ring chain, $65 for sprockets.

Was in second gear so about 20 - 30 km's... back wheel locked up bit i handled it lol.
It snapped because one of the links was already weakened from a previous incident where the chain came off because it was too lose!
