Z1000 Steering Damper

Post by deafwish »

Hey folks......
I have been offered a GSXR steering damper and want to know if it is possible to mount it to my 2004 Z1000?
I have seen some side mounted ones and I think that it looks fugly and will get broken.
Anyone have any mounting ideas or pictures? :?
I have heard of quite a few Zed riders who have them fitted and swear by the performance benefit.....
Cheers!
Daz.

suzuki one won't fit
on the zed it has a collar that goes around the frame at the top of the tank, and a mounting bracket that attaches to the bracket that holds the bars.

They do make a difference.. but in saying that I have mine on the lowest setting since i had the forks done, it doesn't need it as much

Would you be kind enough to post a pic for me?
Thanks!

My bike came with the Ohlins already mounted on the side of the tank, so I don't know how the bike rode without it.

I don't think having it mounted this way is a problem at all - but I've only had the bike for a month so I have no real complaints or problems yet!
