ZX10 shock into Z1000

Has anyone put a ZX10R rear shock into a Z1000 the ZX10R is an 05 and Z1000 an 03. If so what mods had to be made.

Why not just have the current one resprung and revalved? :)

I agree with Strike. If you don't have stands and such, use axel stands under the footpeg mounts. This will hold the back upallow the wheel to drop to it's fullest extenr and easy removal of the shock. I did some work on my race bike rear shock last week and was surprisingly quick (would be a little slower now though, left arm is in a sling).

Hey Ticketey, how did you go? Did you end up doing the swap at all?

I have my ZX10 shock here ready to go in next week - I'll let you know how I went!
