A very productive Morning!

Post by Strika »

I got busy with the tin tops today, and serviced both the Beemer and the Jeep. Oil and filter on the Beemer and a check of everything else (all good thank god, fark beemers are exxie for bits), and then did the Fuel and oil filters on the jeep and changed the oil also. I then went right over it and pulled all the wheels off and checked the bearings. I can hear a slight rumbling nad wasn't sure if it was tyres, wheel bearings or gearbox/diff wine! Thankfully it isn't the wheelbearings. More likely it's the diff! They are a common culprit on Jeeps!

So the Jeep is all ready to tow the 9 up to Canberra for the Snowies ride! And yes before anyone comments,........ if it were not for the fact that .........
1.My tyres wouldn't make it and
2.I have to go to Sydney straight after for work

I would have ridden it!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Need to replace front brake pads, that's all my sweet zx6 need right now. Was weighing to put stock or loud pipe, and ended up keeping the stock. It sounds soo sweeet :D

my daughter has a 3 series M3 coupe
and you reckon normal Beemer parts are exxie....

the bloody replacement battery (which comes in its own holder to fit
in the rear panel space)...was $394

I know some of the parts guys at Meneres..so $320 was the final price
for a fuggin battery

$720 for a radiator (the plastic side tanks harden and weep)
and $90 for a wiper washer motor
and DON'T talk to me about water pumps
with plastic impellors
or
front brake rotors made from...playdough
(30,000 kms and they need replacing...sheesh)

I did warn her

at least the labour is free...coz its me

shaun and i went for a nasho run this morning, in the pissing down rain. still its good training for an island trip anyway  .

got home and we changed the oil in shauns E2 ready for the trip, then i wheeled mine in and dropped the oil and got the wheels off ready for a new set of hoops monday arvo.

paranoia has got the better of me and i've got a new battery ready to go in, it's just charging up at the moment.

still over 9 years out of a battery is good enough, didnt want to push my luck and it open circuit in the middle of nowhere. i'm going to keep it as a spare, i'll give it a charge up as i've never done it in the time i've owned it.
