Any body build retaining walls in Brisbane ????
I've had a busy time of late getting ready to build a new house and putting the old one on the market. Before building commences I need to put a small retaining wall across the back of the property so just as a thought I would post it up if some one does this for a living
can they PM me

Don't do it for a living and I'm not in Brissy so you're probably thinking wtf are you doing posting here, however.....
Retaining walls are really easy so long as you follow a couple of basic rules. If its logs, make sure the posts are in the graund as far as they are out. Level the bottom surface, dig the two end holes and concrete the logs in, use a level to make sure they are at the same angle (sloping back very slightly to the ground youre supporting). Work out where you need the holes in between ie the length of your logs, dig the holes, run a stringline top and bottom between the two end logs and place your posts in line with the string. Concrete the posts in and then whack in the horizontals, nailing them in with spikes (drill holes first). There you go one smick looking retaining wall.
Get a bunch of mates over who will work for beer and burnt meat and it's even easier

Thanks for the reply I'm getting plans done as it has to be compliant with the building services code and don't really have the time to do it myself. If any one can recommend a business that they have had dealings with and have been satisfied with their service pass that along as cold calling usually doesn't produce the results.
Felix if you can find that no. pass it on and I will contact him
Probably lookin at concrete sleepers ATM but keeping an open mind
