What is it ? and where can I get one ?

Post by Jennysc »

I found on the weekend that a silver cap is missing on the left hand side of the bike down near the foot peg. I have highlighted the one on the right hand side on the pic attached.

I don't know what it is covering up and is it important that I replace it straight away and where could I get one ?

Thanks, Jenny

It is a cosmetic item to hide the swingarm pivot bolt. Nothing to worry about safety wise. But it will look rooly coll with a new one! :D

Thanks Strika, Lainie.

I have my provisional test on sunday and I just wanted to make sure the bike wouldn't be rejected as unroadworthy if it was missing.

I have one spare from a GPX250R (co-incidentally the same colour scheme as yours) as I bought two when one fell off mine.

As I'm a bit of a magpie the other is still sitting here five years/two bikes later .

PM me your address and I'll pop it in the mail.

Good luck with the test by the way 8).

Take the one off the other side and no one will notice.

If its like when I went for the P's the only part of the bike they looked at was the front wheel (for the emerg brake and u-turn)
