RWC - Victoria

Post by mmamster »

All

Just took my bike to B##### Bikes for a RWC. They initially said both tyres needed replacing. The tyres have shitloads of tread on them and are not very old so I asked why. They said because of 'scalloping' or uneven wear, supposedly caused by underpressure inflation. Seemed odd to me as I check them and inflate them regularly. they then said maybe only the front.

Along with other work (chain and sprocketsand a few smal things) they wanted $450 for a RWC. So I thought bugger this I will just trade it in. Went to A1 Suzuki (where bought a new bike) who looked at it and couldn't belive the scallpoping story - thought it was bullshit and a way of priming tyre sales....

So be warned! A1 Suzuki are going to do the RWC work for a lot less and no tyre.

Cheers

Mark

There are "plenty" of stories about good and bad servicing at bike shops, best way to relate the service particularly if bad is personally, that way there is no chance of repercussions to the admins or KSRC in general.

You can report the offending party for shit like that, and the RTA will look into it. Same thing happened with a car replace tyres, shocks, ball joints and blue slip, total bill $600.
Picked the car up. Nothing was changed. Got onto the RTA now they are GONE!!!!
I got $565 back first as the car passed as it was.
