bloody good idea, most ppl know where the speed cameras are on their regular routes, so they speed, stamp on brakes to go past camera then speed again, not caring about the tailgater in their boot who also has to brake hard and thus cause mass confusion and jams in their wake!
Im not sure on the under-taking though, if the bastard didn't do 95 in lane 3, when lanes 1 and 2 are empty and lane 4 has a 100kmh driver, then I wouldn't have to undertake!!!!!!!!!

Seen one on a UK site where they had the camera in a wheelie bin by the side of the road, be even harder to pick up than these I reckon.

If you're going to see them in Aus then rest assured Bracksy will be first on the list to give em a run.

they already do that now with truck cameras here, and speed camera's in England afaik. Some pommie legislators also wanted new cars to be fitted with compulsory GPS, so they actually could be tracked for speeding infringements !!!

Seen an excellent photo of one of those, where the garbos accidently picked it up with the hydrolic hoist - the camera looked a little worse for wear

If they really want to stop us speeding every new vehicle will be fitted with cruise control, and every road speed marker will have a small transmitter to tell the passing car what speed to regulate to. A damn sight cheaper than GPS. All are far to easy to hotwire.

If it's the set of photos that did the rounds a couple of years ago, they were actually taken here in SA.

i dont think they will bother hiding them from now on, i beleive they were working on *a while ago* stuff based off that facial recognition technology but for cars... so you would get recognised at 2 checkpoints, a set distance apart, and it takes your average speed, so you cant just slow down.

what would happen if they were all the same car or bike? probably why they havent done it yet.

but thinking sneaky as well, what would stop them doing the same thing with your e-way electronic pass, register you when you get on, and off the motorway, and take an average speed measurement for the whole distance you went. i wouldnt be suprised if they bring somthing like that in soon.

France already do this. They have a set time between checkpoints, and the more you beat this time by, the more it costs you for the journey. They only use it on toll roads as far as I know.

The ones that I saw that did the rounds a whole heap of idiots thought they were in australia, but cars were on the wrong side of the road, and in another they image was flipped.
