Just curious - has anyone heard anything about these guys?
I just noticed their ad in the latest Rapid - first I'd heard of them.

eBike insurance is a unique on-line motorcycle insurance product offering the customer 24/7 access and flexibility. No other motorcycle insurance product is 100% on-line based, leaving the customer in total control to manage and amend their policy when they want.
Launched in April 2005, eBike is the fastest-growing motorcycle insurer in the country, filling a niche in the marketplace for the growing demand for on-line consumer products. Over 5,000 people entered the site in its first 4 days of trading and eBike now insures over 30,000 happy bikers nationwide.
The site features are unique, but highly user-friendly, with the ability to obtain comprehensive advice and a quote in under 5 minutes. The insurance product oozes style, flexibility and many new innovative features such as:
· Pay as You Go
· Bonus Accelerator
· “Ride a friend's bike”
· Guaranteed lifetime protected bonus
· 365 days a year European Cover
as well as all the usual features such as free breakdown recovery and Classic bike insurance.
As an e-product, the outgoings are minimal, thereby driving down the cost of the product to the consumer. eBike Insurance listen to their customers and are continually improving and adding new features to their policies following requests from their customers. It's easy to see why eBike are causing a stir amongst the biking fraternity!
And not only that, the great news is eBike Insurance is part of a larger e-commerce group, eGroup Insurance which can now insure you van and car as well.
If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.

u kno wot mina..i said that too...mrmina wrote: over $3500/pa for insurance, ur bike wouldn't cos that much to fix even if u smashed it every year.
.
until i crashed my uninsured , and worth approx $11k bike (at the time)..then spent abt $4k making it rideable again (cosmetics still dodgy)... and THEN..crashed the bloody thing again abt 3 rides back..costing another $3-4k to fix...
it was almost a case of throwing it to a wrecker for $1k and cutting my losses... even now, the bike owes me more than its worth, so i flog it to within an inch of its life...
can u imagine if u crashed a $15k+ zx10/12 without insurance..... wheels are worth abt $600...set of front discs $700 ish.. set of forks..(sell a kidney)... doesnt take long to add up...

i agree, if ur gonna get a nice machine like any new 1 litre or 600, u should get insurance. But i'd shop around, i certainly wouldn't pay $3000+.Neka79 wrote:can u imagine if u crashed a $15k+ zx10/12 without insurance..... wheels are worth abt $600...set of front discs $700 ish.. set of forks..(sell a kidney)... doesnt take long to add up...mrmina wrote: over $3500/pa for insurance, ur bike wouldn't cos that much to fix even if u smashed it every year.
