Youve bumped your kill switch methinks. If thats the only symptom.
a dodgy ignition will show up before it gets to that. Had it happen on bikes where the vent in the tank is shite and a vacum builds up that starves carbies but fuel starve youll feel just cutting out sounds like handlebar hockey

could be dodgy wiring... vibration or turning handlebars could cause wiring/connectors to become intermittent. best of luck!

Yep i'm with Grasshopper on this one, if you didn't hit the kill switch and it had petrol i would be checking the wiring.

yeh either killswitch or you went over a bump and it has dislodged the side stand slightly but enough to make the automatic turn off switchy thinging work and shut the bike down..

well dont worry about it unless it happens again, if it doesm then you know theres some sort of glitch.

if it doesnt, chalk it up to one of the above anomoli, anama, freak occurances.

blinkers maybe?

Post by onearmed_bandit »

i changed front side blinkers to flush mounts and had one of those rear lights with the rear blinkers incorporated i didnt put the resistors that came with the rearlight in coz i feel blinkers flashing fast have a more noticeable effect to the sometimes blind drivers out there, same thing happened to me at a set of lights at night wen the whole bike just shut down but started few minutes later i got paranoid thinkin someone had some sort of remote control immobiliser lol but as i found out the wiring under my seat would get really really hot then cut out so i took it to shop and they put bigger earth wires in i'd get ur wirin checked this is of course if uve modified any electrical part of the bike otherwise i dont know ur story sounded exactly like mine dude hope it all works out anyway cheers................
