ZX12R's through the years
Im thinking of swapping my 636 for a 12.....
Are there things to consider? Is the 06 much better than the 00?
I am not mega rich, so considering they dont appear to be much different was going to go for an 00 or 01 with low K's...
This will probably be the bike I own until it dies.....
(by the way, if you know of any dealers with a good second hand 12, that would do a good trade.... let me know)...

The world is round. It has no point.
hehehehe we can do that tooaardvark wrote:I'd say Stereo will be fine with that Mick. hmmmm...
you blokes still kidding yaselves
with the 'sports tourer' line for the ZX12
you forget..the ZX12 is the fastest production bike
Kawasaki has ever made.
From memory AMCN ran the de-restricted A model at Avalon in Melbourne at 323
talking sport tourer??? talk GTR1000 then
oh and Stereo
try a 12 A or B model...you will luv it
and don't worry about these slow coaches on their
10s or whatever
cheers

GOTTA LUV the 12R!!
Not a sportstourer? Maybe I should use a line out of a recent Rapid magazine and call it a Hypertourer instead.Smitty wrote:hmmmm...

The GTR1000, like the new GTR1400, is the tourer in the lineup, not by any stretch of the imagination is it a sportstourer.
Fastest in a straight line? Doesn't that just backup that it's a sportstourer? And isn't it irrelevant now that all bikes are top speed restricted anyway, so you can't find out which is fastest anymore?
Doesn't give you sore wrists on long trips? Doesn't that, along with the rubbertopped footpegs, just backup that it's a sportstourer?
And if you're going to try a 12 Stereo, try one of the later model ones that had the suspension and brakes sorted out better.

thought we were Sportsbike riders..so sez the site name
next...we will have HD riders joining

so
I think I will quote the maker of this fine bike
...from http://www.kawasaki.com.au
"The ZX-12R is the ultimate expression of form following function, with every inch of its anatomy exuding total and utter purpose. From its cutting edge monocoque chassis design to its sleek, muscular bodywork, everything about the ZX-12R emanates that aggressive hyper-sports attitude that Kawasaki is famous for.
And it delivers. Enormous power, phenomenal braking and extraordinary cornering … all with the total control and composure you’d expect from an athlete at the peak of their form.
Experience it all today on a ZX-12R from Kawasaki."
hyper-sports...can't argue with that

GOTTA LUV the 12R!!
