Tinted visors [poll]

Post by mick_dundee »

Well it seems a lot of poeple use tinted visors, myself included, just wondering how many here actually change visors at night as I believe (happy to be corected Jase) that it's actually illegal to ride at night with a tinted visor..

I dont use one on the current helmet but had a Iridium screen or the AGV
was great during the day but when it got dark I couldn't see a bloody thing
Some people with dark/Iridium screen helmets have a pair of clear safety glasses that they where if they get caught out at night with the visor up. I know but its easier than changing some stupid visor setups

I only change my visor if it is going to rain...

because here is what I have found

Tinted visor during the day = awesome
Tinted visor in the rain during the day = Ok
Tinted visor at night = Ok
Tinted visor in the rain during the night = bad
The world is round. It has no point.

Erm... I tend to swap helmets... If I know I'll be home before dark, then I use the Shark with tinted visor... if I'll be out at night, the old KBC with clear visor and sunnies if needed 8)

I do have clear visor for the Shark helmet but its easier to just swap helmets.

I change my visor. I use the irridium during the day but on the M5/ Fairford rd during the night with no lighting it's a joke you can only see your gauges

I find my yellow tinted visor is excellent for night time vision (although it isn't the most attractive thing going).

Yellow is specifically for low light situations but I use to get distortion in good light. If I now (or suspect) it might be dark I take a clear one with me down the front of my leathers.

iamwithstupid.gif - hit the nail on the head.

Have not changed visors for ages at night.........because that would require it to *rain* !!! I am sure my youngest daughter has seen rain like, 3 times since she was born :x
