Travelling in Tight Knit Group

Post by Yankee »

Quick question for any who may know (definitely).....

If you're out on the open road, and staying in a nice little formation (minimum two bikes in the group, but the more the merrier), and you guys/gals get flashed with a speed camera (from the rear obviously).....
On the pic, when the administrators are reviewing what to mail out to the victims, if there are the two+ license plates in the pic, do they automatically throw it out??? Due to the fact that they can't decipher who was induldging in excessive speeds for that stretch of road???

Just curious....

Good question, i heard with red light cameras they take 2 pics to prove that you did go through. So they look at both shots work out how far across the intersection you both were then send the love letter. Speed camera's only take 1 pic so i don't know if they could prove who was speeding :?

Some of the new speed cameras do take 2 pics, thus allowing the calculation of distance traveled over a specific time = speed.

umm i can tell ya the vic ones which use to only take ONE pic can pic the speeding bike....

i had 2 pics (other thread i talked abt this) from the GP trip a few yrs ago.... 6 bikes in each pic...and they reckon that the pic is taken as the bike is in a certain radius/distance/sweep of the camera and its 100% accurate...

ive heard all these rumours u can appeal it, but mine were 1 point and $120 fines ...so i didnt pay the $300 (at the time) to fly back and go to court....

if u were going to court over the speeding issue tho....

I like Jason's reply the best.
Can I join your knitting group? Sounds tight.

also along these lines.....

how long does it normally take to get a picture in the mail? I've never had an infringement (knock on wood), but on this particular day, coming home from the Indy on the Gold Coast (two weeks this Saturday).... it was absolutely pissing down, and I thought I saw lightning?! Mate reckons it was a Flash?! I couldn't see an arm's length in front of me (due to rain), so I'm hoping if it was a Flash, then it couldn't see past its little box.....????
