Tolls and sore bums after long days in the saddle.

Post by zzzak »

So I rode throught the non-pay lane on the Hills M2 because I couldn't be bothered stopping after putting 400k's on the odometer that day and a week or so later I got a nice note in the mail offering me the option of paying the toll plus $10 fee, taking it to court or,and this is the good bit, providing details of the possibly faulty e-tag.

So I called up my e-tag provider and asked if I could add my bikes rego # to the existing tag and they, well it was a she and she was very nice, said "No problemo".

In future I am going to ride through the express lanes of our toll roads with not quite gay abandon and due to my faulty tag they'll have to drain my account via a photo of the rego plate.

A small victory but an important one. :D

Does your pass have your bikes rego number attached?

According to the info that I responded to the non registration of a faulty device is fine if you have a pass and I have put my bikes rego on my car pass so I no longer need to stop.

All legal and part of the machine.

It would take more than you could imagine to get me back to Adelaide or Melbourne, nice though they were at the time though which was around 1974.

Sydney is it mate,it's where you all really want to be.

Get off your bikes take of helmet and gloves etc and count your pennies out.

Don't forget to turn your bike off and take the key out, from habit. Then the key does go in last after you but the helmet and gloves on, but it is hard to put the key in with gloves on and it falls to the ground. Off the bike and try again

I have the rego details with the e-tag provider and don't carry the tag with me but have not been charged for any trips with the the tag on any of my tag accounts :?

Not that i am complaining

I recall hearing about pushbike riders who organised such a protest. They all rode up to the toll booths and paid cash (slowly), then proceeded along the M2 hogging all lanes. They got some media coverage by informing the TV stations in advance. Pity us motorcyclists can't be so organised.

Yep I was just thinking this the other day when reading the CTP thread.

Please can I get ripped for CTP, have yearly rego inspections, pay unequal tolls to go anywhere, have double demerit weekends and even more exxy speed taxes and not be able to park easily in the city.

When can I move back? Lakemba sounds like a fun suburb to raise a family.
Just one more law and everyone will be safe.

you deserve a bitchslap to the head for that, i stay the hell away from the area, merely because its near king georges road & roberts road, which are both f*ked up, let alone for any of the other bullshit that has been rumored to happen around there from timeto time.

Then again my missus works near (but not in) there, i've heard a few corker stories about it all too, its funny though, till it happens where you live though.

Try Bankstown Hospital late on a Thurs-sunday night.

One night (i think it was a Friday) 2 gunshot victims, a Michette to the head, a couple of hit and runs, various assaults and an older male took on two big Kiwi's in a bar fight. It ended with a broken bottle inthe older mans hand and a lot of operation theatre time

It can be worse than US tv
