funny how on an aussie forum, not many people are jumping in to give bayliss a rap he sure deserves! last time he rode that GP bike was in 04, and im sure it would be alot different now.
yeah good ol' ill sit in third position and make for boring racing hayden... he never actually properly put it to rossi in a race this year and everyone knows hes a far inferior rider to rossi.

I have so much respect for Bayliss, the guy is awsome. As I have said elsewhere on KSRC, it was him that won the World Supers, not Ducati. He rode that thing so damn hard and intelligently. I was on the edge of my seat the whole race just yelling for him to win it, what a legend. I fully place him in the same class as the good MotoGP riders, man I wish he could get another go at it.
As for Hayden, man at the end of the day consistency counts and he did that well. I know he didn't 'star' as much as Rossi et al, but he IS an exciting rider to watch with his backing it in and such, and he never just took it easy, he always rode as hard as he could just like the others.
I think having a different winner than Rossi is great for the sport too. Anyone who follows it will know how hard Rossi rode this year, against all sorts of bad luck etc., so I don't think anything has been stolen here.
Look at Stoner - Great pace all year but too many DNFs and he is down in the Championship. This is racing.
Can't wait for next year!
