How awesome would that be a track like OP, with a surface like the M7.....what a dream, i reckon we'll see it around 2010. Not that far away really.

And, if they build it further out of town than Oran Park, that brings it closer to me. :)

I went along to to the V8 Supercar round at OP last weekend and it was packed. The biggest crowd I've seen at OP ever! Let's hope any new track follows the OP design which allows spectators to see most of the track. I prefer Eastern Creek for trackdays but OP rules for spectating.

Rumour has it that 'Wilton' could be the location for the new track..

This really is great news.

If only this guy could spare another cool 40 to do one up here as well. I mean, it's not like he can't afford it right?

Anyway, I would really love to do a day down at OP before it closes. Will see what happens.

This is great news!

I, too was out there for the V8's with my family, we went on the Saturday as it wouldn't be as packed - it was still a great day out, and I, too am looking forward to another track that has great spectating capabilities.

Bring it on :D

It's my understanding that the new track will replace OP, not be an additional track for NSW.

And being that negotations are with the NSW Government, is there a guarantee that there'll be a new track? And that we won't loose another one completely.......

Amaroo was a shocker of a track! ......when i started racing, it was at amaro a few years before the developers moved in & I used to hate going there! the surface was shit & there was no real run off in most corners... freekin scary track for wobbly, green, wet behind the ears nubes!...
