Some of my new paintjob ideas

Post by spekt-r »

Have a look at these and tell me what you think, im pretty terrible at photoshop (I only got it today) so theyre only very rough. Ill also have my wheels painted green with polished rims and a few other bits that I cant really do with photoshop.

Hey Spekt-r, Bluefly and I both reckon they look good. I generally don't like customs, but they're cool. I'd go for the first one imo.

ps. Bluefly has offered to help you with any paint shop stuff. She's a grapfic designer.

I like the second one actually. I don't usually like custom jobs either but if it's done right it will look good. Are you getting it spraypainted or putting decals on it?

Thanks for the feedback guys, and thanks for offering to help with paintshop. Ill be using decals for the flames as long as they can be made to look good. I think maybe the large flames are a tad too large and the little ones are a bit too poxy. I think ill go for something in-between but with slightly darker flames. Another idea ive had would be a black bike with solid green or maybe gradient green flames. Anyone think that would look good or would it be way over the top, ill try and paintshop up a black bike with green flames if I get time tomorrow and post some pics.
Cheers guys.

I'd say go with the first one. But I'm anxious to see the black/green flames as well.

Ill try and do a black with green when I get home after work but I'll need to find a side on picture of the factory bike in black first so if anyone can post a link that would rock.

Custom paint jobs rule. You gotta make your bike unique, not just like every other out there.

Though, be more original i reckon. Flames have been done on every conceviable paintjob custom on cars bikes whatever. Hell, its even on the stock '03 R6 paintjob. By all means go for the flames, just thinking ya might want to try somethin new.

Oh, and do you actually have an 03 7R or are you just using that as a base?

Kempy I have an 02 ZX7R so without graphics theyre almost identical.
The flames are kinda a personal thing, ive always had a thing for flames on cars and bikes since I was a little kid and was obsessed with flamey hotrods and stuff. Buy youre right theyre horrible common these days but I hope to do them well so theyll be effective.

You got an 02?!?! One with the chequered flag and all the cool decals! Tis the only stock 7R job I prefer more than the 01, best stock paint job done on any bike/manufacturer in my opinion.

Why change it? Rareas hens teeth.

Yep the one with the checkered flags and stuff, i kinda scratched it up a bit so instead of keeping it standard I wanna go custom.
By the way check out http://www.tapeworks.com that place has some cool graphics, just found it today. I might get my flames from them, I think ive decided Im gonna go green with flat black flames!

I like the first one, and I'd be tempted to try a dark reddish/orange on the wheels.
