[syd] Need to borrow a bike trailer this saturday.

Post by mike-s »

Anyone here in Sydney got a trailer i can borrow on Saturday night and return later that night or on Sunday evening?

I need to borrow a trailer to go up to Woywoy to pick up my next bike as the guy that's selling it is being a bit of an arse and trying to ream me for it's cost if he brings it to eastern creek with him when he does a trackday on friday.

Anyway, does anyone nearby have a trailer i can relieve them of for a few hours on Saturday?

You can borrow mine..
but only on 3 conditions
1 - You look after it and bring it back in the brand new condition that it was in prior to you borrowing it.. (about 20 years prior)
2 - You don't use it for transporting any foreign objects. (like Suzukis)
3 - You do not transport any objects weighing more than.. hmmm, let me guess, 210kg...

Hmm, cheers for that. Can't make promises about the foreign objects, will see how i go with it though ;-).

btw is this the big f*off trailer we put in your garage at the post-dynoday? or is it another one? just trying to get an idea of what i'm in for is all. Will let you know shortly if i'll be needing it.

Nah, that was Micks..
Mine is a "modifed" 6 x 4 box trailer, widened and with a steel channel to roll the bike into.
Hasn't been used for a while... apart from a trip up the putty a bit over a year ago.

My thoughts exactly, he was acting a bit of a prick, and that alone is making me double think about getting his bike.... I know of a complete rf900 a lot closer at E-C wreckers going for a bit less. I might take a wander over there after i've woken up after recovering from Wednesday night nightshift. At the least bargaining power, at the most, i may save coin :-).

agreed, hence a few emergency plan changes so i get the tyre, not the guy. i didnt realise hed try to dog me. im gonna try negotiating him down but am prepared to walk if i have to. im not going to let an arsehat like this dictate the terms on the fly.

"fool and his money" i ain't gonna let that be me.

Oh and while i remember Dave, I spoke to a lady there but didn't get her name. No dealings with our "lucky strike" buddy unfortunately.
