05 ZX6 free horsepower???

Post by MrStompy »

i found this American website on how to get some free HP out of your 6.

http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/165/45/

apparantly it hotwires your bikes computer to trick it into thinking its a Euro zx6.

Im not sure if its useful to us at all cause we are using euro specs here anyway arent we? Im not sure at all on that one.

and a very quick mod too..
The time between the dyno runs is 1 minute...
Thats quick just to do 2 runs let alone stop the bike, pull the wires, put jumper in, start it up and set the dyno again..

I'd say its a US thing..
The HP on the pre mod is a bit low..
but then so is the after mod.. I've seen 98's put out over 100hp..
But then different dynos give different results..

We get the full power version, not the US version which has cali standards!!! So ours is the full monty from the get go, and this mod will make no difference.

OK I dont know if your aware but there is a wire jump mod that works as ive done it to my bike...Its to do with timeing as in standard from these bikes get a 1 to 1.5 degree retard after 13g, so the mod gets rid of this...my bike gained 4 to 5 hp in doing this... My bike was dynoed about 2 weeks ago and spun up about 116hp... The bike has a slip on and powercomm... yes the mod does work :)
