Manual GPX 750r
Hi all,
I am busy with repairing a Kawasaki GPX 750r (zx 750f), which is not mine. However, I have some problems and I was wondering if anyone has found a manual for the gpx750 that I can download?
Thanks in advance.
Paul.

Thanks for all the fast reactions. The first problem is to remove the side cover (never expected that!!, this is not my first motor to repair!!!). Maybe anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong? I have removed the two screws at the outside and two in the inside (next to the front wheel) and two screws next to the cockpit. It looks like there is still a screw next to the headlight, but I am not sure. And I have no idea how to get there.... Anyone??

which side cover?
the GeePeeX has a front fairing made up of 3 parts-
belly pan, inner cover (under headlight) and the rest..which is BIG
also
there are 2 small side covers under the seat/tank join
to remove these...remove seat and undo screws
the front fairing?
remove bellypan first..2 screws and an allen key job..each side
then undo 4 screws holding inner cover (under headlight)
then
the rest is.....
undo bolt on frame near mirror inside the fairing, undo the
2 bolts holding the fairing to the frame under the light, undo
the 2 side allen key jobs on each side(they go to the tank)
undo the bottom screws on the fairing where it attaches to the
down tube on the frame and as fairing falls off
...undo harness to h/light and indicators
dats it
think my memory has got it right
cheers

Cheers.
the trick here..is to remove the inner fairing cover
situated above the front mudguard
This cover has screws that go into the inside of the two outer skins
of the fairing assy
the screws are a bit tricky to get to ..one up high
near the radiator and one up high near the fork
on each side
btw
This inner cover has a front lip that sits up under the
headlight..you can see it in this pic

handy hint, undo the screws, support the outside of the fairing while you do it so that your screwdriver gets good purchase on the screws. once they are undone, the inner fairing needs to be pulled in a bit on both sides so that it clears the lip on the side fairings, do both sides simultaneously as there are clips on the front of the fairing that hook up and into the side fairings, these things can break rather easily if you aren't careful (i found out the shitty way about this.)
Also take one side fairing off at a time, remember that the order is bottom cowling, screen, inner fairing black plasticky bits near the bars with the coinholder, etc.. undo the dash, undo the 2 bolts on one side that hold the light in place, move the dash off a bit to the side and undo the bolt that mounts the fairing to thesteel tubing and always remember to support the light so it doesnt scratch the front guard and most importantly undo the two allen bolts that hold it onto the tank LAST, these things can hold the weight of the rest of the fairing quite easily when both are done up, which gives you a bit of flexability with undoing the other bolton bits.
other things to remember, take overflow tube off the radiator, stuffed that more than once! you need to use a large headed screwdriver, else the big black mushroom headed screws that hold the side panels on as well as various things like the rad overflow bottle will turn to cheese very easily. While your at it, go buy a set of the stainless 6mm hexhead bolts and use then and replace all the shitty little allen headed bolts on the bike, those things are shit (mind you when replacing the little bolts i had to cut the new bolts to make them short enough to use without doing anything dumb like peircing the tank.
damn, longer than i thought, but things i found out after taking plastic on and off a hundred times on it. my first attempt took hours, but now i can do it in about 40 mins if i put the effort in & stay sober.
