s'if it is confusing, just one more thing to add to the arsenal against getting nailed by all the fuckwits on the road.

I'd definately think about getting one if/when they come out, however my wallet may say something different alltogether about the matter.

I didnt see the whole the whole show, but heard them mention $ 500.00 not sure if that is Aussie dollars though.

Still not sure on my feeling on them but yes they are a great idea. I would say surely the $500 would be US not AUS.

Read up about these ages ago, they initially put out the poushbike lid then the morotrcycle lid, believe an Aus distributor was already setup and that was probably 12 months ago, having said that, dunno who it is, how much they're worth or indeed anyone that owns one.

I would think Aus $ myself, if US then that makes it arund the $7-800 lid and that's a heck of a price to be paying for what may well be something that gives you the shits more so than helps you in the ned, problem is until you buy one you won't know what it's like to ride around with it constantly, and at $800 that's not a cheap experiment...

Due to the huge demand created here in Europe, we do not have distribution in Australia yet. We are speaking to distributors now and going through the preliminary tests for the Australian Standard and should have the full certification early next year. We will then be able to put distribution in place and introduce the helmets into the market.

They retail for around 399 Euros in Europe, but due to local taxes etc, we do not know the exact cost in AU dollars yet.
I can tell you that there is to be an online solution in the coming months when the helmets have full certification. We have a mailing list for this and also to keep you updated of when the helmets are available in your country.

I will keep you posted once I have news.

it blocks off a good inch of vision through the helmet.

is it that hard to use your mirrors more, i hardley look over my sholder, i find a re position and look through mirror at different angel gives me a view of the previous blind spot.

also what will happen in an accident? will the mirror, break and become lodged in the head? this is my main concern, id rather not have a pice of plastic inside my helmet.

this is a personal preference thing though, so who knows.

i know id find it more of a hinderance than a help.

From what I saw on the show the rear screen is almost in your pheriphery, I think the screen shots on the website are not a very good view of what you actually see.
Some bikes have much larger blind spots than others and while your moving around on your seat to look in the mirrors it means you arent looking at the road. If new products like this can make riding safer then as a rider I am all for trying them out, however I realise this sort of thing will not be for everyone. (bit like MP3 players)

You are heading the right way to take a nasty fall young'un. The shoulder check is known for good reason as a " Lifesaver "

I'll second that motion...A couple of times when I have been wanting to do quick lane change, I do last minute shoulder check, and lucky for me, I looked, as I would have ended up in the side of a car
