Ok all, heres the chance to express love for your favorite tyre sellers in Vic.
I need a set for the 7, so tell who is the cheapest for quality rubber.
Brand not decided yet but leaning towards Bridgies or Metzlers
Cheers

It must depend on who they have working in the workshop at the time Smitty. As I have had really good service and pricing from Bob Jane the few times I have had tyres done there. it has been in the last 12 months too.Smitty wrote:Mick

Place on Chifley drive (off Bell St) does Shinkos. I think you'd be lookig at $250 a set. Think it's called Mag Power or something.
Have perviously used the dreaded Peter Stevens tyre service, it's run out of the Harley garage and is very quick (45mins a pair) - prices are average.

45 minutes isn't really that quick.photomike666 wrote:Place on Chifley drive (off Bell St) does Shinkos. I think you'd be lookig at $250 a set. Think it's called Mag Power or something.

Pablos have changed mine in under 20 mins the last 5 times I've been there, ok so it was only one tyre at a time but I'm sure they could manage the pair a fair sight quicker than 45 mins.
May not be the cheapest place around (cheapish, not cheapest) but they certainly are a nice bunch of blokes in there and seem to know their hoops.
as i posted on the other tyre thread,
be quick if you want to buy a set of shinko's for $250 because at that price they wont be selling them for long when their importer/wholesaler refuses to sell them tyres because they are bastardising the prices.
$250 is less than wholesale price and when the rest of the re-sellers start to complain to the importer/wholesaler (or refuse to sell his tyres because thay have to sell them so cheaply that they make no money on them) then the importer/wholesaler will do something about it.
other than that, pablo's have always done me a fair deal on tyres (used to pick the bike up fit the new tyres and then drop the bike off again all for $20 fitting fee plus price of tyres) plus scott and rick are good blokes to have a yarn with.
