New Front Tyre

Post by Tnate »

Does anyone know/recommend a good place to get my front tyre replaced around Richmond/Melbourne CBD?

I'd rather use some of your knowledge than fish around only to be dudded.
Thanks for the help

I strongly recomend them!! I bought a set of shinkos there a few months ago. Since then I've clocked up around 7,000kms and the front started to feel in desperate need of a balance.
I went in there today for a balance and they ended up putting on a brand new tyre and charged me NOTHING! They said it was wearing unevenly which could be due to suspension, but this way I can be sure it isn't the tyre. Very happy with their service :D

Ross, what dollars did you pay for the shinkos?

For the set Ben? If so I'll be there Saturday...lol

Did they fit them on the spot or did you have to leave them there for awhile?

Cheers

i would buy em quick, cause i garentee the importer will put a stop to that price (its less than wholesale)

shinko import to aus via one wholesaler only and when enough of his other re-sellers hear about this deal and complain he will stop selling tyres to these guys

It cost me $300 fitted. I have a 120/70 front and a 190/50 rear. I think they're shinko advance 005.

$250 is a great deal! I got mine fitted a few months ago. Looks like prices have dropped a bit since then. Still I was pretty happy with $300 for what are pretty good tyres IMO.
