I use BP premium (95) for commuting and Optimax (98) for ride outs and would prefer not to put anything else in the tank. When you're in the sticks on a long ride out that's not so easy, but never less that 95 octane
I ALWAYS used Bp Ultimate in my 9 and once I ran out on the freeway, went to reserve and rode to the first BP I knew of and it was shut so I had to ride to the next one and only just made it and they were out of Ultimate so I thought I would chance it and put in a whole tank of regular, big mistake I should have only put about 5 bucks in and ridden it to the next place, I couldnt believe how much power I lost, will never run any of my vehicles on anything other than BP Ultimate
I use bp ultimate or vortex but useually go for the bp first, why would you own a high performance bike and use cheap fuel.
Try to stay away from dodgey servos they make good hamburgers useually though.
Have read plenty about tolulene you can buy a 20 litre drum of the stuff for the same price as a 500ml bottle of the same stuff with octane booster written on the front.
If you are worried about it dont sniff it, also suposed to be a great solvent for cleaning fuel injectors....just stick to the bp and stay away from dodgy servos unless you need a hamburger.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
I used to use that octane booster in my old rx7, we used to be able to get spectacular flames out the exhaust, particularly with that stuff, if only I knew how bad it was for my engine!!
