Yeah except its, my zzr 250 is faster than a scooter, and someone else saying they're both death traps, and that his zx7r is faster than their zzr250, however, you're right on track :)

still put two fiftys in the same basket, infact, i reckon they could be more dangerous, seeing they can do the speed limit, however, when you get into a "situation" you aint got nothing to get out of it. brakes arent great, power at that speed is not good enough...

only thing that makes scooters more dangerous is the suspension and brakes. They're only set up for midgets. thats why greg likes them
OK now I take offence to this as well.  Not a hope in hell am I upgrading my Kermie because the law says I can. I travel at the speed limit NEVER Speed just ask Mick and Leo. How ever have gotten myself out of a couple of sticky situations :D I think it just goes to the rider themself not the bike they ride. We can all say we haven't seen people on bigger bikes Fark up in the same possie

Nothing to do with the rider, i'm simply saying, on a 250 (gpx/zzr) at 100-110 kmph, you aint got much to help you if something does happen. atleast with a bigger bike, you can roll on even in top and still have the midrange to help you.

I'm simply saying that someone who rides a 250, complaining about how dangerous scooters are (which you are not one of them). Should think about it, appart from the fact that the 250 can get to the speed limit, they're just as dangerous as a scooter!!

No difference being on a scooter almost maxed out at 60 on a freeway and getting cut off, and not having anything to save your ass, than being on a 250 and getting cut off at 100-110kmph and having nothing to save your ass appart from your own riding abilities.

It's a big case of the pot calling the kettle black. I just wanted to put my stirring spoon in and get a reaction.

OK now your PISSING me off too   The Law says right now we HAVE TO ride a 250 does this make them less a bike :?: :?: Rather be on something like Kermie and be still learning than on a bike I know I cannot handle and perhaps not take only myself out but other riders.

lets add a new twist to this...

My old scooter would do 100km's on 2.5L of fuel, GPX on highway does 4L/100km insurance is higher (much much higher) and servicing is more exxy.

We all ride, doesnt matter what form of 2 wheels it is its still 2 bloody wheels...and its still better than having to drive 4, even if it is only a 50cc, 250cc or whatever. Pushbikes are slow (although faster than a 50cc scooter at times) and annoying but no one complains about them (too often).

Well, the law also suggests that you should be skilled enough when you get off your restrictions to ride a bigger bike, if you dont feel skilled enough to ride a bigger bike, then don't. It's not a case of saying 250's are less of a bike, however, they are...

Add another 350+ cc's and they're a bike. :) ...

This whole thread just sux. I really do not care what anyone rides and who the hell is on the road. I am happy with Kermie and that's all I give a fark about. Whom ever else I have to share the road with I don't care as long as they respect my road space. :D
