hey guys before using a pry bar i thought i would hammer the correct size socket over the bolt and use a breaker bar to undo the bolt it worked now i just have to get another bolt thanks for everyones help also my impact wrench is shit house its piss weak compressor was reading 100psi at the gun and it wouldnt budge the bolt

Great news mate. As Rob said an impact driver is the way to go for this sort of stuff. Stick it on whack it with a hammer and it usually works pretty well. I still have the one I bought in 1981 to crack the case on my KS125. Hasn't failed me once.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

i called a kawasaki dealer no bolt in stock in australia i sent out a msg on findapart a wreckers wants $25 the part from a kawasaki dealer new is $14 :shock: so enough bitching i need the part now so im going to fork out the $25

You might want to look at getting some of this to have handy around the garage, it is absolutely awesome for helping getting snapped head studs out so might be of some use to you too if you are having headaches with a tight fit.

Works on a similar concept of putting new sleeves in engines, freeze one part, put the other in an oven and they slip right in. Glad to hear you got it sorted though.

cheers mate i will keep that in mind the problem i had was whoever took the engine out previously had wound the bolts out and torqued them tight NFI why though

well ive been dicked around ordering the bolt from findapart/a vic bike wreckers its been a week since the bolt was posted no show and i needed it the day i ordered it how frustrating im now in the position to bed over and cop it for a second time to hope they deliver it this time $60 for one bolt is getting expensive when its $14 from a kawasaki dealer :(

Gazza you could have gone to metros & have a scrounge round in their small parts bins...... bound to find one or 1/2 a dozen :?

i went with the same vic wreckers i asked for express post so if i dont get my order this time im going to be ******* pissed! i wil take up both orders with my credit card company

ok the bolt and another part i ordered from the wreckers yesterday showed up today the first order is still no where to be seen they charged my credit card $35 extra for the second bolt and a throttle cable plus express postage
