Re: ZRX so far
Later in the year, once I have some holidays up.
I am on my 3rd job this year, but I will stay at this one till I get some time off....
I will come for a spin up there for a couple of days to do a ZRX thing.
I have some good mates in Mona Vale so I will stay out there.

And when we stop for a drink or something to eat, you must remain standing untill ALL ZRX riders have been seated & their orders taken..Gosling1 wrote:Only if you promise to ride up the back !!hoffy V2.0 wrote:....Are you allowed to do Nasho run these days if you dont own a Rex ??![]()

UPDATE
Ive just sent the forks & shocks away to be worked over. Revalving,[front & rear] new springs, etc. I should get them back in by this weekend. If this bloody rain ever stops I'll tell you what we came up with ,& how it works.
I removed the standard headlight globe, & fitted a "white ice" globe, big improvment in night vision.
It gives a bigger brighter light, not the usual white/yellow as standard. I wouldnt say it give any more distance, or spread, but a much clearer view.. Worth the $12 for the globe.

..... I was thinking of adding an 8000k globe - anyone do that and how did it turn out?I removed the standard headlight globe, & fitted a "white ice" globe, big improvment in night vision.

Hey mate, how's the big K going? How did you get on with the suspension mods, what exactly did you do and whom did you get to do the mods????? I find my REXY soft and floaty stock, with some adjustments the "floaty" dissappears but harshness results and it still doesnt steer like i would like.
cheers,
A.E.

Yeah that was exactly the same issue as my ZRX,
Bouncy & wollow to the max, or super harsh with not pothole resistence.
I had a long talk with Peter from >> http://www.promecha.com.au/ about what I felt was happerning, & he anwesered all my question.
My suspension should be back early next week.. yee haa Then I can see how much difference he makes.
I'll do a report soon.

Re: ZRX so far
I feel for you, Promecha do EXCELLENT work, but he is SLACK with his time commitments, he did my VTR forks 8 years back which turned out excellent, went from dangerous at "warp" speed to better than the '99 Fireblade forks i was comparing them to, BUT he said a week to ten days turn around and took 3 to 4 weeks door to door, the worst part was he would not answer my phone calls etc, i ended up getting a bloke i knew then up the road from him to go around and ask "what the"......like i said good workmanship but slack customer service. I am hoping you love it when its done which MAY convince me to deal with him again, he is cheap, Shock Treatment want $1200 using springs/gold valves in forks and re-valve only in rear, we shall see.s man wrote:Im out of my death bed & on the road to recovery. I know what you mean about these "lurgies" that are getting around, its take me a month to almost stop coughing!
