The problem is most people have to stick to lams bike for "3 FULL YEARS" now (at least in NSW)

I'd say go to a bigger bike after a year or two, if you feel you need something more powerful.

yea that sucks, however there are some 500cc learner legal bikes out there that would be not bad.
