Removing a front sprocket....

I tried a 250psi rattle gun on Mel's sprocket - all it did was round out a 32mm 6-side socket !!

The only thing that will move this sprocket is heat.

ordinary ones can split or splinter...and act like shrapnel

yep - used that style. It rounded off !!

The only real problem with using heat is making sure its done in short, sharp goes - otherwise you run the risk of melting the output shaft oil-seal clean out of the cases !!

The guys at the shop told me it was the first time they had to use heat 'twice' to get that F#$#@#@@#n sprocket off !!! It was a right prick.....

Done, dusted, just spun straight off in 1 blast of the rattle gun. Gotta lurve technology and air tools
