They all have about 100,000 kays on them, but they've been well maintained and are normally still in very good condition.
I like the police bike. Do they strip the 'stripes' or you can generally ride around in police colours ?

They strip them, but I can't see why you couldn't buy your own and put them on. You just aren't allowed to have Police written on the bike and you can't have blue and red flashing lights.

there are a couple of local arseholes who ride ex-cop BMW's up here - they have left all the original gear on the bikes (panniers, top-box etc), have re-striped the bikes with dark blue, ride around in light blue shirts, and even wear white half-face helmets FFS !!!!  It really shits me.........I have watched these guys actually speed up behind cars, wait till the car slows (usually pretty quickly :? ), and then just take off...........its a joke.

Hopefully the department doesn't get a hold of that. They could pay fools to ride around on look-alike bikes and that would have the effect of slowing everyone down. And they would only have to pay half of what they pay us.

Mind you, I reckon they should make half of the Police cars on the road unmarked and just have them drive around flashing their headlights. That'd probably slow everyone down aswell, and no one would ever get a ticket. :)

At the same time, making out you're a Police officer is a cunt act. It puts doubt in the mind of joe public and makes them a little nervous about stopping.

thats exactly what shits me off - both of these nobs probably failed the entrance exam, and the best they can do is be a wannabe bike cop..... They have both been a fixture on the roads up here for about 3 years ??? I am surprised they haven't been pulled over for 'impersonating', although they both have stopped short of wearing jodphurs !!!  One of the bimmers even has a stumpy CB radio aerial on the top-box !!!!!

They shit me *almost* as much as those wankers who wear hi-vis vests on their bikes !!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
