I could be wrong Mark, maybe it's the other bits on it which make me think this! But I reckon that bike is an 1989 model. Not a 1993! The frame just looks too much like an 89 mate? And it has conventional forks also! All the next gen ones had USD forks! Also the body work is 89 style too! As I said, I could be wrong!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Plas was telling the guy he bought it off "1st thing i gunna do is paint it kwaka green" and the fella nearly cried...lol.... weve had a bit of a "open suggestion" where Plas has been given sum ideas of how to customise....
i think his plans are
1.make it go.
2. make it go reliably.
3.make it go faster
4.make it pretty.
he may wish to elborate..then again he may be too busy buying beer for the "working bee" which will be going on soon...

Yeah Marty, your right, plate say 93 but its an 89
Nova thanks for the link mate, Joined up there last night and learning already
i'm with marty, looks like an "L" model to me. rwu forks and the single pipe each side are the give aways (as is the "pepsi"). i'd say the mota was toasted hence the one from a 93, from memory the sp that year was a jap only model.
i always thought they flew and scared the christ outta me - untill i'd ridden bigger bikes. then i had a go on a priller rs250 and it was like a toy. perfect for a track bike IMHO.
get it running right and you'll have a ball, well done mate

But if cash is too tight for the moment you can take home a Bridgy BT45 140/18 that has plenty / near new when you head over for Avalon
