My brother's bike has the same problem. Full muzzy system and PC3 USB. Was going to install the Accellerator pump software to see if we could sort it out
Mate if you get it sorted could you shoot the map my way as my brother doesn't have the cash to do a dyno run just yet. Also if you are able the current map or accelerator pump settings would be handy. What standard power commander map are you using? or have you done work to the grid?

I am not exactly sure as I have tried about 10 different maps but I think I have the PC site map - 2004/2005 Muzzy full sytem with stock air filter with a few changes. The Accelerator Pump is set at about 50%, 20%, 15.RisingSun.au wrote:My brother's bike has the same problem. Full muzzy system and PC3 USB. I will check and do a few more mods over the weekend and will forward the map if its ok or once I get the Dyno done. Ive been told they adjust the map during the dyno run while connected to the PC3.

Thanks, I will try that map as I think its the only on I didnt try out of the bunch. Ill see if that map with a few accel pump mods makes a difference.RisingSun.au wrote:Yes, we found the full akroprovic map worked better on his bike then the fill muzzy. His would amble on up to 2,000 then give an insane jump up to 3,500 with very little movement on the accelerator.

One thing I have wanted to do is install an air/fuel ratio guage with zorst sensors welded into the collector/s (when I had the bike) this gives you real time information as you ride IMO, the ram air effect is hard to emulate on a dyno. I have read about it a few time and one guy who did it got it so close that when he put it on the dyno eventually and he only needed a small bottom end tweak to the map from memory.
What do you all think of that for an idea?
my 0.00125 cents worth..

I've been planning to do this for a while myself. Did the same thing with my car, allowed me to tune it pretty well on the run. Be wary of the cheap airfuel meters as some of them are next to useless. The one I had in the car was cheap but worked well, too bad I can't remember what it was thoughJonno wrote:One thing I have wanted to do is install an air/fuel ratio guage with zorst sensors welded into the collector/s (when I had the bike) this gives you real time information as you ride IMO, the ram air effect is hard to emulate on a dyno. Did you end up running it on the Dyno?
Not yet. I rang to book it in and they suggested an air filter, adjustment of the emissions/pollution control

I disabled the Accelerator Pump Utility, this arvo and took it for a ride.
I can honestly say that I can tell the difference with it disabled, for the worse!
The bike obviously ran perfect with normal throttle operation, but when I cracked the throttle on, from no throttle, it seemed to be far less responsive!
I enjoy lifting the front, in 2nd gear from rolling off and on the throttle and it became quite difficult and unpredictable to now do this. There was what seemed almost a 1/2 second delay, before the front started to rise.
*Note to self* Do not try doing wheelies with unpredictable fuelling in gale force Melbourne winds! Nearly had a serious brown undie moment!
I then went straight home and activated the A.P.U. again.

Muzzy Ti 4 into 1, Power Commander III USB, K&N, Airbox mod, KLEEN delete, Throttle quickener, Vortex -1 front sprocket, Renthal Ultra Low 'bars, Seat cowl, Ohlins 0.95kg fork springs, ZX6R shock. 130hp/ 70ft/lbs!
Still can't get this darm APU thing to work properly....
I can never get smooth fuelling when doing power wheelies.....
Anyone care to tell me what settings they use?
I'm keen to have a play with it now.....
