bloody blind car drivers!
When my van was rear-ended the insurance company provided me with a replacement while mine was being fixed, they said in the case of no liability accidents that was the standard response so ask about a rental bike so yeah,do it through the insurance rather than trying to get money from some blind idiot.

his look said otherwise, I went out and some bloody blind ass car driver knocked my baby over, it's picked up and they're looking at the damage. The guy was there, so we got his details.
tank dented
bars/bar ends
front bracket
mirror
indicator
radiator cover
broke clutch lever
footpeg
exhausts
bellypan
crash knob took most of it
and he isn't insured![]()
So for the weekend I have an 06 zx6 to play with... I had forgotten how uncomfortable a sports bike is!
hey Tanya is ur bike insured if so let the insurance do all the work, if ur bike is insured third party depending who you insured with third party also can get you up to 5000 worth of damage from other driver if other driver not insured, ring ur insurance

some tourist dude in a tarago reversed over the moto guzzi, which fell onto a gsxr750 which fell onto a cbr600f which fell onto an R1... you get the idea... but it did stop there luckily and not take out the next 2 bikes as well!

That sux bit time Tanya.
The ins. co should chaise him and you should not be penalised as you can identify the offender, but you are correct i would need to be earning good money as the ins co. will charge him retail for parts and labour and the "Recovery Costs".
Been there(when i was younger) write off cars x 2 + mine x 2
Ins = no
But i bloody learnt
now all is insured

happened to me 4 times so far, and I make sure that i park well away from cars....
Once a car reversed into it..... he would have had to go WAAAAY out of his way to hit it..... Didnt have insurance.... He winged about the 2k repair bill....
Another time a truck reversed over Steph's NC30.... and drove off.... a helpful pedestrian had taken his numberplate..... Rang him up.... He was shocked to hear that it was going to cost almost 3k to fix it.... Well DUH, he DROVE OVER IT!
Another time some woman in a 4WD reversed into it and paid to have it fixed...
and one time a woman knocked my bike over and drove off.... didnt catch the plate.... damned bitch, hope she dies of herpies...

Started the insurance process today, managed to track down his rego number (my boss wrote down virtually everything about the guy but the car's rego number!) which means I don't have to pay anything.
Bad news for him... quote came in at $6,300
I now just have to wait until the assessor comes and has a look at it, see what he says.
i bought it home tonight, realised gear lever is bent
But crazy thing is if you just looked at it, apart from the crash knob you wouldn't notice the damage unless you looked for it.
I actually feel sorry for the guy
