Some of my new paintjob ideas
re: Some of my new paintjob ideas
If I did go with some red/orange flames some similar colord highlights would certainly be on the agends but I think ive decided on flat black flames. I saw a blue CBR600RR with the same thing so I chucked it in paintshop and made it green, its a great color combo so thats how I think ill go, when I get some decent images of a ZX7 with the same sheme ill post some more pics. I appreciate al the feedback guys it has certainly made me wanna go with the larger flames as thats what everyone seems to like and with good reason.

you know a flame can be blue also... so you don't have to restrict yourself to just red and orange..
But I like the idea of the tyres in a red or orange... could be interesting...
But I think a red front wheel, flames then an orange rear back wheel could be abit lame

re: Some of my new paintjob ideas
Recent change of heart, I dont wanna mess with it too much so Im thinking of either the standard 2003 paint scheme or a variation.
Look at the attatched picture, thats the 2003 scheme, imagine that bike but all black where its green, now where the decals are green and white, replace white with chrome and the green with green chrome. I think that would look awesome, especially considering the little green and polished alloy bits ive got on the bike and ill put some more anodised green bits all over it, i really think this could be an awesome custom, kinda an idea of what Kawasaki COULD have done.

Jase might be able to paint something up as you've described... he's pretty handy with photoshop.

Im bloody terrible with photoshop, i tried to use that photo in my previous post and change the hue/saturisation/color to make the bike black and then put the decals back on in the appropriate colors but it really sucked.

Gotta use fancy selections and layers to do it.
I had an amateurish go at that stuff on my sig, but changing bike colours is a bit too much effort for me.

Personally, I don't like them in red...
Have you thought of doing them in a clear lacquer with green and blue pearl and metallic flakes through it. I friends car's bonnet was done this was and it looks great...
Subtle and mean all in one.

re: Some of my new paintjob ideas
Sounds really cool dave but im not putting flames on it anymore.
Im gonna be doing the 2003 scheme or a variation of.
Ill call the signwriters tomorrow and see if they can do chrome decals, if they cant then that pretty much makes up my mind for me.
I cant wait to post some pics in the rides section.
