And if the front end dosn't instill confidance, have it set up properly. Most bikes people take out for 10minute test rides are setup too frigging hard or too bloody sloppy and when both front and rear are neither here or there.... not really confidence inspiring. Found the Z750/Z1000 gave me much more confidence in the bends.
Have the shop set the bike 'up' (tyres, weight etc) for you properly in the suspension department before going out. Means the difference between a sale or a bad experience. That applies to any bike you want to buy!
