theft worries

Post by whiting »

Just finished speaking to a guy who lives in my arpartment block. (we have a shared garage with about 20 spaces). He informed me to get a good lock for my bike as him and 2 others in the building have had bikes stolen with disc locks in place. i already have a disclock and chain but am still worried. does anyone know anything about bike alarms and if they are any good. Thanks

Could try dynabolting it to the garage floor.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Find a big fuck-off post, get a big fuck-off chain and padlock and you'll be sweet. Or get one of those zany alert alarms, that sms your phone if your bike twitches. I think the brand is zena or xena or something like that? -J.
the sweet things don't stick around but the bullshit lasts forever

If there's been 3 bike thefts already I reckon you'd have to have a pretty nasty body corporate that wouldn't let you bolt an anchor to the floor. just tell them you'll fill the holes when you move out.

I am in 2 months, just gotta wait for the least to run out. till then fingers crossed. I've been looking at alarms on the net that pick up any vibration and they look pretty easy to install so thats the go I reakon.

these arent cheap but they would make a kit to suit your bike.

dynabolt and chain would be better and plus one of these and maybe a pitbull as well by the sounds of it.

go get a friggin alarm ! peace of mind it really is. I love my bike and would go to any extreme to minimise any chance of theft etc. Do it now to save hassles and regret later on

If they really want it they'll get it. I have a friend who is a coppa and he said there has been a real spike in sportsbike theft over the last couple of months. :x
