I hope that's not your bike dude. If it is, trade it in quick. Mate, my mates  wasn't pulling that many revs and was well beyond that speed.

No, No of course it isn't me, that would be illegal & stupid, that's why I went looking on internet to find it.

But What do you mean by revs@ that speed? 250kph@15000rpm in 5th?
I was told by someone that it will do around 263ish or more? indicated on rev limiter @ 15500ish in 5th & then some more in 6th, around 268 indicated with a little more rpm in reserve perhaps?
Only way another 636 would be different is gearing or speedo is different calibration.
I don't have a green 636 so it can't be me.

Scary Monsters .
Theres always someone / something faster out there , Take it easy guys/girls .
Dont worry , know the speed thrill equation , just know your road etc etc and think first , Then go for it .
Stay Safe .

I used to pass cars going down the nth side of Mt Macedon on me Malvern Star till the brakes iced up and i went into the scrub at one of the hairpins just missing a hq wagon...now i'm much more responsible...yerr right

i had a friend who rode a cbr250 . met him out one night in newcastle on the bikes. he gave me a 40 minute earbashing about how 900s and especially zx9rs are shit around corners compared to cbr250s.
we rode home along the winding yet fast industrial drive.
he realised cbr250s cant do 220 in a straight line let alone round a corner.
exact sms from him " sorry mate i dont go that fast seeya later"

Little GPX250 does 175km/h indicated... so I'm told. :D

Ahh fair enough, i see the error in my ways, I can't count. 5th gear and 250, is pretty impressive. Yes i can see from the pics, it is green  . Exactly like my mates, it's green too. Would say 268 is a little under cooked from what i have read, because i would definately not do that, casue that would be illegal and my bikes not green. :? Oh and the bike that did that silly speed had a stock pipe and mine has a nice yoshi on it now.

How about what your mate reported the top speed to be after he took it for a ride.

Apparently a '01 ZX9 with a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket (speedo obviously not quite accurate then) will show 270kph at 11000rpm in 6th. Apparently.....

Biggest compliment I receved was when a friend on a standard 03 ZX9R couldn't shake me in a roll-on. 8)

Afterwards he asked me if I was sure it was only a 600

My CBR 600 F3 (1999) did 290 down a long hill.... It was pretty much fully modded..

I "think" my 03 ZX6R will go faster, but I have only had it up to 240.... (just the one time, honest officer)

Once in the middle of nowhere I took my 96 zx9 for a squirt and hit somewhere between 240 and 280, I wasnt paying huge attention was more interested in the road, I just remember seeing the needle sitting in there somewhere, the bike was vibrating so much as it wasnt a real smooth road, that was a rush!!!
Hello 911? ahh its Quagmeyer - yeah its in the window this time.

The rev limiter on an '02 636 kicks in at 280 indicated, according to the gearing calculator that should be 295 but tyre wear, etc would surely affect that.
