Hey Felix, you remember my Zephyr? It also had a dual seat with single seat rego. It just had a nut n bolt welded into the rear footpeg bracket to stop one being bolted up. All legal....

Gnome is right man, do not cut ya seat up all unnecessarily like.

Yes, I remember the Zeph...unfortunately they are cracking down on that type of thing now apparently, so it must get the chop.

But Boyd Yung here in t'ba are only asking $38.50 for the compliance - bargain!

the guy that did my LK7 plate said that it is a $6000 fine for pillioning someone when you have a single seat rego..... is this true?
just wondering. i couldn't do it on my "conversion" (as it is PERMANENT), but i have a few friends that could easily still pillion someone, so i wanna tell them to be careful (backing it up with truth!)
anyway, yeah, $197 this year instead of $365 is great! oh, and suncorp was cheapest on the ctp (for just ME now) by a good $2!!!
i still say "QLD, the stupid state!!" :P (just cuz bike rego should already be cheaper than car rego  )

The major part of Rego is the third party insurance bit. They work on statistics, and under 1% or road users are bikers, yet 15% of major injuries/deaths are bikers - when we crash, we cost more for health cover

*EDIT* Anyone know if they do a single seat discount in VIC? I might consider putting a single race seat on my 6, and accidently slip in a nice looking undertray
